[4/22] what are the odds that all the victims from true crime vids are good people?

most true crime starts with how nice and friendly the victim was. what are the odds that this is always, always the case? not really likely, imho

i understand why this is done and i don't advocate for any change, but i do wonder if people watching the vids would empathize less with a less "perfect" victim. would it make, say, the murder less tragic if the victim is delinquent?

it probably goes against the whole simplistic true crime genre, and the video creators would have to craft a deeper and more wide image of the victim, like book authors. maybe there is no market for it.
